A Brief intro to our Classes:
The Mini Academy – Ages 3-6 – 45 minute class (£4.50 per week paid monthly/termly) Classes consist of mainly games designed to bring out creativity and confidence along with freeze-frames and improvisation. Throughout each term, we work on songs and some dialogue. For more information on individual classes- please see our website
The Midi Academy -Ages 7-11 – 45 minute class (£4.50 per week paid monthly/termly) The sessions will consist of games designed to bring out the students creative side as well as building confidence and learning how important it is to work together. We will work using freeze-frames, emotions, creativity and improvisation. For more information on individual classes- please see our website
Major Academy – Ages 12+ – 1 hour 30 minute class (£6.00 per week paid monthly/termly) The Major’s sessions will focus on musical theatre, confidence building and improvisation. The student’s will develop drama techniques and will work towards two performances per year. The students in this group will work towards London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Examinations (LAMDA) sat at the end of term. For more information on individual classes- please see our website.
Clothing All students should wear JK’s T-Shirts or Polos to each class, our full selection of uniform can be viewed at www.rockthedragon.co.uk and search for JK’s. We advise students to wear black loose fitting trousers or leggings. Dresses or skirts are not to be worn to classes. Jazz shoes are needed in both shows we put on in July and December. We are currently changing supplier and will update with our new LOCAL supplier as soon as they are ready for us!
Fees Fees are due at the FIRST session of each month. Fees can be paid in Cash in a labelled envelope with the student name or by Bank Transfer (please whatsapp us for the account details). Using our website CLASS PRICES Page, you can check the amount for the month/term and transfer to our bank account. The first class is a taster but is not free- if your child doesn’t enjoy the first class and doesn’t want their space to be saved, please don’t pay but notify us so we don’t add you to our contact list.
Payments overdue by 2 weeks will incur a 10% charge. Payments over 3 weeks may result in the student losing their place.
Agency Students are able to be signed to our very own management agency, it is not compulsory and students wishing to join should check out our agency website www.jks.management and read the Applications page before emailing.
Class Resources When we have a show approaching, we update out website page “class resources” with scripts and information about costumes etc for students and parents. The password for this is JKS2023. We will whatsapp you with a nudge when it is ready for viewing this term. Make sure we are saved as a contact or we wont get through your spam filter!
